One of the top job sites, and the largest online job site based in the U.S. is CareerBuilder. They are partnered with 140 newspapers to provide local as well as national job listings. CareerBuilder powers the career sites for more than 1000 companies and leading portals such as MSN and AOL. They have a presence in more than 60 markets in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Asia, and South America. More than 24 million job seekers per month utilize CareerBuilder to find new jobs and get career advice.

CareerBuilder Search Options

Search CareerBuilder by city, state, zip code, industry, company, or job category. Use the advanced search option to narrow down your search by type of degree, salary, type of employment and date listed.

You can exclude certain keywords, job titles, and companies that don’t interest you and create job alerts to have jobs that meet your criteria emailed to you. CareerBuilder will use the criteria you enter to recommend jobs you might otherwise overlook.

CareerBuilder will also upload your resume and show you job listings that match your experience.

Other tools like salary calculators and career descriptions are available.

CareerBuilder allows you to save jobs, resumes, and cover letters in your account. They also offer pertinent educational information such as how to protect yourself from online fraud scams.

CareerBuilder Resume Posting

CareerBuilder will upload your resume from a file, Dropbox, Google Drive, and any .DOC, .DOCX, .PDF, .RDF, .TXT, .ODT, or .WPS up to 1000kb.

They do not accept images or scanned documents.

Users can post up to three different resumes and cover letters, and apply directly for jobs online. You have the option to select career fields that interest you, so employers can contact you directly.

You can also decide who can, and who can t, view your resume.

Through your account, you’ll be able to see when your applications are viewed, and see the competition for each job.

CareerBuilder s Explore Career Tool provides insight and data for job seekers. You can search by job title or browse all jobs to get salary information, a job profile, required skills, and where the most job opportunities are. You can also see how you compare to the job and its requirements.

Career Builder Part-Time Jobs

Part-time and seasonal jobs are also listed on CareerBuilder, and you can search and apply for those as well as full-time positions. Search for part-time jobs by location, keyword, type of job, and most recently posted. Use the Advanced Search option to find jobs by required degree, salary range, type of employment, and within a certain radius of your location.
